I bought Billybear as a companion for Scooter, without any plans to show and without really knowing anything about poodles other than how special they are. He was bought on full register as I thought I might do obedience with him. I joined the Poodle Club of Victoria and was encouraged to try showing. I started showing for fun and I was hooked. I totally adore the hair and the glamour of showing poodles. Billybear was a born showdog. When Billy showed, he showed his butt off! Billy was my first showdog and first champion. He titled easily earning multiple Class in Group awards, Best of Breeds, a Reserve Challenge Dog at the Toy Poodle Society Specialty and multiple 13 and 14 point Challenges along the way. Billybear made me proud by earning his title against stiff competition in Melbourne by the age of 18 months despite the fact that he's a rare silver beige colour. He is the first silver beige toy poodle to earn his title in Australia. |
Billybear sired 2 litters, all silvers. One of his sons, Squirt, is still currently showing and breeding. Another of his sons, Merlin, was shown briefly by myself. His grandson, Sterling, is now a champion himself. Billy is now retired and living the easy life as my cuddlebug. |

Silver beige poodles are born a rich brown colour and start to fade almost straight away. When their face is clipped for the first time it's the colour of Baileys Irish Cream. (Left at 8 weeks and at 6 months). By 2 years old they are an even creamy colour all over |

When I get up in the morning Billy burrows up to the edge of the bed but remains under the covers and watches me get ready. He wont get out unless I make him! |  |
